(At our cost.)

Each blogger can choose between 4 tree species, for this blog a pine tree will be planted:

Being always fascinated by how much data you can store on small media (not only for my Outlook and File Sync programs) I couldn’t pass on this note. 32 Gig would be enough to store about 24 days of music (at 128 kbit/s). Or (talking about e-mails again) 16 full-blown PST-files (if you still working with the old Outlook format with the size limit ;-) .

VPN or web services aren’t exactly know for their speed, so ou might want to use a USB hard disk to synchronize and then move it to the second location for another sync. Western Digital is offering a 320 GB hard disk which should be enough for HUGE amounts of data (for file or Outlook sync).

Nice detail: The hard disk gets its power from the USB cable, so you won’t need an extra power connection.

Well, that’s definitely a great protection against e-mail viruses, but perhaps not what you want… ;-)

As always, doing a backup is a great idea if you like your data.

You can backup or synchronize your Outlook data with Easy2Sync for Outlook. However, if you only want to automate the backup your PST-file, simply use Easy2Sync for Files. Even the Freeware Edition will be good enough for this job. You can get it here: Download Easy2Sync for Files.

That’s a LOT of data. In fact it’s so much data that you get into a lot of problems if you loose it.

If you have such a lot of files, you should consider making regular backups or synchronize it with you main computer. The latter has the positive side-effect that you have the same data available on both the main PC and the notebook. Very useful. Check out Easy2Sync for Files and Easy2Sync for Outlook.
